After the fall of the Congress-JDS government in Karnataka, the BJP is set to take over. BS Yeddyurappa will be taking the oath as the next chief minister of Karnataka. The MLA’s who had submitted their resignations are likely to return. Though Yeddyurappa was not formally elected as the leader of the BJP in Karnataka, a unanimous decision was taken to make him the candidate from the party. He will have to prove a majority in the Assembly by July 31st. The Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao has asked his party to stay away from the oath-taking ceremony. The guest list includes HD Kumaraswamy and Siddaramaiah.
