Case lodged against Harsh Vardhan for the death of children in Bihar
After 82 children died due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (Brain Fever) in Bihar, a case has been lodged against Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey. They have been blamed for negligence and not reviewing the situation on time thereby leading to more children dying. Locals have said that deaths due to AES had been occurring for a few years but no one had bothered to sensitise or educate the people about it. The hearing of the case will be on June 24. Harsh Vardhan took his oath as a member of the 17th Lok Sabha earlier this morning.
