Lalu Yadav granted bail for Fodder Scam Case
Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Yadav has been granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court in the Fodder Scam Case. The Fodder Scam involved the misappropriation of almost 9.4 billion rupees for which Lalu Yadav has been jailed several times. Despite being sentenced to prison for 14 years, Yadav sought bail after 2 years stating that his health was deteriorating. After being released he is undergoing medical treatment in Ranchi. Politicians with wealth always find their way out of such situations. Ironically, the money he must have amassed in the scam is now being used to bring him out of jail for the same scam.
