Tejasvi Surya speaks up on endangered Hindu heritage sites
BJP MP Tejasvi Surya recently raised the important issue of the continuous damage of Hindu heritage sites thereby making them endangered in the Lok Sabha. He brought up the recent incident of the vandalism of a holy site in Hampi. The temple in Nava Brindavana had been damaged by miscreants and Surya demanded that the accused be punished. Prahlad Joshi, Parliamentary Affairs minister has assured that necessary action would be taken. Surya strongly stated that heritage sites were of significant importance to devotees and to preserve the ancient culture of India. Events of vandalism have been on the rise, a similar incident has occurred in Hampi previously and in Delhi, too idols were damaged. Markers of Indian culture and heritage are soon deteriorating and getting endangered, they need immediate maintenance and restoration.
