ISRO successfully launches Chandrayaan-2 from Sriharikota
ISRO’s moon orbiter, Chandrayaan-2 was successfully launched from Sriharikota. Previously the Chandrayaan-2’s launch was delayed when it posed technical snags. The ISRO scientists have managed to rectify the error and eject the orbiter into Earth’s orbit. The Chandrayaan-2’s lander ‘Vikram’ is expected to land on the moon in 48 days. The mission is of immense pride to India since it is completely indigenous. PM Modi and ISRO’s Chairman K Sivan expressed their happiness on Twitter. It is being said that India managed to build a spacecraft within a budget less than that of a few Hollywood films.
