Cases registered against fake relief funds for Kerala Floods
While several states in the country are dealing with serious floods, certain people have been taking advantage of their suffering. The Kerala Police has identified and registered cases against 19 social media handles that have been running fake relief campaigns for the flood victims. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has asked people to be alert and verify the sources before contributing to the relief. Pinarayi Vijayan also previously rubbished rumours that the Chief Minister Disaster Relief Fund was being misused.
