After the scrapping of Article 370 and a total shut down in Jammu and Kashmir, things are gradually returning to normalcy. Due to lack of communication and a sense of fear, people especially children have been experiencing stress and anxiety. Children have not had enough social interaction with their peers due to schools being shut down due to which they did not know how to vent their feelings. Hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir have taken up the initiative to provide psychological aid to children in order to help them express themselves and discuss their thoughts which they previously could not do. Public mental health is an important aspect of the well being of the nation and it is positive that mental health stigmas are breaking down gradually.
