PM Modi addresses teachers on Teachers Day about single-use plastics
On the account of Teachers Day, PM Modi addressed all the teachers in the country and urged them to talk about the disadvantages of single-use plastics to their students. In PM Modi’s Independence Day Speech, he had spoken about banning single-use plastics. He sought the support and involvement of teachers in this mission and said that they could make a significant impact by guiding their students towards the right path. Several steps have been taken towards slowly reducing single-use plastics. Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said that the food ministry will be banning it from September 15. By October 2, the ban will be applied on a larger scale.
