Hate Speech: Delhi LG Approves Prosecution Of Author Arundhati Roy And Former Kashmiri Professor Sheikh Showkat Hussain
Lt. Governor Delhi VK Saxena has given sanction for prosecution of Arundhati Roy in a 2010 hate speech on Kashmir made at an event at LTG auditorium in New Delhi which said “Aazadi – The Only Way. Kashmiri Radical Syed Ali Shah Geelani was the Chief Guest. Chidambaram was the Home Minister of India and he had asked Delhi Police not to act in this case. He had backed Arundhati Roy saying it was freedom of expression. The event however was a open call for violence in Kashmir and led to many killings in the valley.
