India Left In Stitches As Global ‘Happiness Index’ Puts War-Torn Palestine, Ukraine Ahead
The World Happiness Report for 2024 was released on Wednesday (20 March), with Finland retaining its top spot on the index for the seventh consecutive year. The annual UN-sponsored report ranked India at 126th position, the same as last year, in the happiness index. The happiness ranking is based on individuals’ self-assessed evaluations of life satisfaction, as well as GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity and corruption. Israel too made it to the top five of the ranking.
