‘Unfortunate Charges Against Religious Leader’: India Issues Statement Against Arrest Of Hindu Monk In Bangladesh

Releasing a statement on the arrest and denial of bail to Chinmoy Krishna Das, a Hindu monk in Bangladesh, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed ‘deep concern’ over multiple attacks on Hindus and other minorities.

The statement mentioned that Das is the spokesperson of the Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatan Jagran Jote. As per media reports, he is also president of Pundarik Dham in Bangladesh and an ISKCON member.
