India Pulls The Plug On Indus Waters Treaty: What It Means And How It Can Hit Pakistan

The Indus Waters Treaty was signed by pandit Nehru in 1960.As per this agreement 1. Western Rivers (allocated to Pakistan):-Indus-Jhelum-Chenab2. Eastern Rivers (allocated to India):-Ravi-Beas-SutlejWater Sharing:-Pakistan gets: About 80% of the total water and India gets: About 20%, mostly from the Eastern rivers.India is allowed limited use (for irrigation, domestic use, and non-consumptive use like hydropower) on the Western rivers. Only a “great PM” like Nehru can sign such an agreement which gives everything to the enemy country..
