Dharmasthala ‘Whistleblower’ Arrested For His Lies
In July this year, the temple town of Dharmasthala was hurled into a storm of sensational allegations. A former sanitation worker, C.N. Chinnaiah, claimed that between 1995 and 2014, he had buried “hundreds of bodies” in the region, victims of murders that were allegedly hushed up. His testimony, unbacked by a shred of evidence, was enough for the Congress-led Karnataka government to constitute a Special Investigation Team.
