A Hindu Minor Boy Killed By Islamists In Shivamogga Sparks Outrage; Seven Minors Detained
A 15-year-old SSLC Hindu student, Saket, was killed after being assaulted while trying to stop a fight between his friend and a group of minors in Shivamogga. Seven juveniles who are Islamists have been detained. Police have tightened security across the district, and the state government has announced a compensation of Rs 15 lakh to the bereaved family. The deceased, Sanket (15), was a Class 10 student preparing for his SSLC examinations. On Monday evening, he had attended a special coaching class at his school. Around 8 pm, while returning home with his friend Girish, a quarrel reportedly broke out between Girish and a group of minors who were Islamists in the locality.
