What Is Their Interest? Another US National With An Alleged Military Background Arrested Near The India-Nepal Border
A 36-year-old US national, identified as Jordan Brown, was arrested on 11 July near the India-Nepal border in the Mainihwa area under the Sonauli police station limits in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district. He was detained by personnel of the Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB) after allegedly attempting to cross into Nepal through an unauthorised foot trail.
A video of the incident has since surfaced on social media, showing Brown surrounded by local residents while remaining calm despite being shirtless. Brown, who claims to be from California, was reportedly trying to enter Nepal without carrying a valid passport, visa, or other required travel documents. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attempted border crossing.
