Yogi Adityanath Thrashes Samajwadi Party Over Temple Donations, Ayodhya And Waqf Issues
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday launched a fresh attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP), accusing the Akhilesh Yadav-led party of misusing temple resources and diverting donations made by devotees during its tenure in the state. His remarks come amid the ongoing political row over the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case, which has intensified the war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition.
Addressing a public gathering in Ayodhya, the Chief Minister alleged that the Samajwadi Party had brought temples under political control and misappropriated funds donated by devotees. He further claimed that temple donations were diverted for purposes unrelated to temple administration, including the construction of mosque walls.
“Samajwadi Party used to pocket money donated at temples,” Yogi Adityanath said, alleging that devotees’ offerings were misused after the party assumed control of temple management.
