META Apologizes For Deepfake Content & For Removal Of PM’s Video!
META CEO Mark Zuckerberg has sent his apologies for CSAM, deepfake content & errors in operating the platform. (PTI)
META’s representatives also reportedly acknowledged that substantial money was paid to boost certain types of content during cockroach Protests & expressed regret for the mistakes. (IndiaTV News)
Development comes as senior Meta executives met Govt officials to discuss compliance with Bharatiya laws, content moderation, child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and safeguards around AI-generated content.
The government indicated Meta may not qualify for “intermediary” status (and thus safe-harbor protection under the IT Act) because the platform selects who receives content.
Modi Sarkar has also insisted on Public Apology from Zuckerberg for restricting PM’s video on FB within 3 days.
Things have started falling in place as soon as Modi Sarkar has taken tough stand. ₹383 Crores spent by Political Masters of Cockroaches go down the gutter.
