Jammu And Kashmir with Five Phases Polls In Lok Sabha Elections 2019
Five phases of polling for the six Lok Sabha seats begins from 11th April, but the Anantnag Lok Sabha will go through three phases due to the tensions and complications in Jammu And Kashmir.
Polling for Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir are allocated in not two polls together because of the requirement of central forces including candidates security. The Pulwama attack when 40 jawans were killed at the blast of RDX and grenade attack in the bus stand by the JeM group and Hijbul Muzzahiddin respectively has led to polling in three phases for Anantnag.
