Maharashtra Polling Stations to double AMF
The polling stations in Maharashtra to double the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) to make the election experience better for the voters. Facilities that are going to be improved include availability of medical kits and shades. Special provisions for pregnant women and young mothers include creches. Divyang voters will be provided transportation and volunteers will be present to assist them. Maharashtra has also taken the initiative to set up women only polling booth in all of its constituencies in order to boost the participation of women in the election process. The efforts aimed at increasing the number of voters require proper implementation as the ideas are currently only on paper.
