M’rashtra’s Beed forces women into hysterectomy

The Beed district of Maharashtra consisting of a majority population of cane cutting women is a place where women are forced to undergo hysterectomy in order to be employed. Menstruation hinders work according to contractors and the women have no bathrooms or toilets to make their period convenient. Women are rendered helpless and have no choice but to subject themselves to physical and mental trauma for a meager salary which is barely sufficient for survival.
