Sardar Patel’s statue not to belittle Nehru says PM Modi

PM Modi in a rally in Amreli said that the world’s largest statue, that of Sardar Vallabhai Patel was not built to spite or belittle Pandit Nehru. Rubbishing the claims that the statue was built as an insult, PM Modi said that it was built only out of respect for the Iron Man of India who kept the country unified. Modi also strongly questioned why no Congress members had visited the ‘Statue of Unity’ though they claimed Patel to be their leader.
