PM Modi to visit Sri Lanka and the Maldives from June 8
PM Modi is set to visit the Maldives on June 8 and 9 having been invited by Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, the President of the Republic of Maldives. PM Modi is also going to visit Sri Lanka on June 9 and was invited by Maithripala Sirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The Ministry of External Affairs said that the visits would help discuss the bilateral relations and mutual interests of the countries. The visits are indicative of the strong priority given to neighbourhood policies.
