Cyclone Vayu makes its way towards the Gujarat Coast
Cyclone Vayu which originated in the Arabian Sea is fast moving towards the coast of Gujarat. Cyclone Vayu caused heavy rain and storm like winds in Mumbai. The cyclone is steadily moving towards the north and is expected to strike the coast between Porbandar and Diu. Several trains have been cancelled and dust storms are reducing visibility. PM Modi tweeted that the situation in Gujarat was being closely watched. Around 3 lakh people are to be evacuated and people have been warned to stay safe and not venture into the sea or be in nearby areas.
