Amarinder Singh says Congress needs a young leader for its future
After Rahul Gandhi’s official resignation as the President of the Congress Party, Capt. Amarinder Singh has said that the party needs a strong youth leader in his place for the party’s bright future. He says that a young Indian with a pan-Indian appeal was what the party required to reestablish itself. Rahul Gandhi refused to nominate a successor or take part in the decision making process. It is being said that his place is likely to be taken by Sushil Kumar Shinde or Mallikarjun Kharge, both of whom are by no means “young blood”.
