Candidate Connect Feature Introduced by Facebook for Indian Elections

Facebook which has maximum users from India has launched two new features to increase civic activity regarding the elections on its platform. Having taken steps to curb misinformation and false news, the “Candidate Connect“ feature enables voters to know the candidates contesting from their respective constituencies through short video clips. “Share Your Vote” feature enables citizens to announce their participation in the elections and encourage others to do the same.
