CHHATTISGARH : TRIBALS VANDALISED A CHURCH DURING A CALL FOR A ‘BANDH’ AGAINST CONVERSIONS !
Narayanpur (Chhattisgarh) : The local tribals gave a call for ‘Bandh’ on the 2nd of January 2023 to oppose the conversions carried out by Christian missionaries. Some of the local tribals damaged a church and a statue of Jesus Christ during the ‘Bandh’. The Police reached the place of the incident and thrashed the individuals with canes who were present at the place of the incident, leading to their fury. They then attacked Sadanand Kumar, the Superintendent of Police (SP), injuring him. He was immediately admitted to a hospital.
