Cong Candidate seeks help for funds through social media
Congress Candidate Ramya Haridas contesting in the elections from Alathur district in Central Kerala lacks monetary support which is an integral part of the election procedure. Ramya’s talent was recognized by Rahul Gandhi who chose her to contest but the only barrier she faced was financial instability. John Samuel, a former United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) official initiated the social media appeal for funds. Ramya’s campaign has been interesting due to her unique style where she sings during the campaign meetings thereby attracting the people. The social media appeal has seen a positive response wherein an amount of around three to four lakh rupees has been collected successfully.
