‘Congress is run by a family, Communists are Godless’: Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay
On Tuesday (5th March), former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay announced his decision to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This comes after he resigned this morning. On his last day as a high court judge, Justice Gangopadhyay told media outside the court that he had sent his resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, and Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court TS Sivagnanam.
