HIJAB BAN CASE: THE MUSLIM SIDE RAISED QUESTIONS ON THE ABILITY OF THE SUPREME COURT REGARDING HIJAB!
During the hearing in the hijab ban case in the Supreme Court, it was said on behalf of the Muslim side that the court is not able to interpret the Quran due to not being proficient enough in Arabic. It was argued that the court should view the hijab as an individual woman’s right, rather than determining the necessity of the hijab for Islam by interpreting the Qur’an. Women can choose to protect their privacy, dignity and identity.
