India backs Israel in rejecting Shahed's request to be an observer in the UN

India made a change in its stance and backed Israel in its stand against terrorist organisation Shahed’s plea to be included in the UN’s list of observers. Maya Kadosh, an officer in the Israeli Embassy in India tweeted thanking India for its support. The inclusion of an organization in the list of observers means that the organization can participate in the work of the UN. India and several other countries have voted in favour of Israel in order to prevent a terrorist organization from being given that privilege. The Modi government has a strong anti-terrorist agenda which is reflected through the stand that India has currently taken.
