India’s GDP Surges 20.1 Percent, Fastest Growth Since Mid 1990s

Since mid-1990s, when data was first available, this is India’s fastest quarterly growth (20.1 per cent), as per reports.
However, as per a senior economist at Kotak Mahindra, GDP figures for the first quarter has come in marginally weaker than the expectation, which was 21.7 per cent growth.
