Northern Railways newly innaugurated the Kashi Mahakal Express, which would run for nearly 1,200 kilometers over 19 hours, to connect Kashi-Vishwanath in Varanaasi, Jyotirlinga-Omkareshwar near Indore and Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain. All three citiies are home to historic temple towns with Lord Shiva as the presiding deity.
In a first, on occassion of Mahashivarthri, and for the first time ever, Indian Railways has reserved an upper berth seat permanently for Lord Shiva. ONLY IN INDIA.
