Mahua Moitra accused of plagiarizing Parliament speech
TMC MP Mahua Moitra whose Parliamentary speech received appreciation from several ends is now being accused of plagiarism. Moitra had spoken extensively on fascism in her speech where she had also quoted ‘7 faces of fascism’ which was later discovered to be taken from a 2017 article published in Washington Monthly. The article in Washington Monthly was about Trump and Moitra replaced that with Modi. She has also made another triggering statement regarding the Pulwama and Balakot Strikes which has not gone down well with the people. She confused the two attacks and said that the government had not provided air security to the forces in Balakot.
