Minister attacked with crabs for blaming crabs for dam breach
Amidst novel forms of protest and dissent, the NCP workers in Maharashtra played a twist on the Maharashtra Water Conservation Minister Tanaji Sawant’s words. Tanaji Sawant had ridiculously blamed crabs in the Tiware Dam for a breach that was caused due to heavy rainfall in reality. The breach had washed away almost 23 workers and some are still missing. Sawant had said that the crabs in the dam had weakened it but the crabs are a part of the ecosystem of the river and do not harm man made structures. It is human constructions that are affecting their habitat. The NCP workers hurled crabs at Sawant’s residence in protest. In a bitter fight among humans, crabs are being blamed and hurt.
