New Laws In Assam! Lifetime Imprisonment For Love Jihad, Cm’s Permission For Inter-religious Land Sale, Domicile Policy In Govt Jobs
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday announced that his govt will bring a stringent law against Love Jihad, with lifetime imprisonment as punishment. He also announced a domicile policy for jobs, restricting govt jobs only to those born in Assam, and restrictions on land sale to Muslims. CM Sarma made these announcements while addressing a state Executive meeting of BJP in Guwahati. “We will bring a new law in the next few days, to convert the punishment for love jihad to life imprisonment”, he said amid applause from the audience at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati.
