PM Modi condemned Akash Vijayvargiya’s act, terms it unacceptable
BJP General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya’s son Akash Vijayvargiya had recently physically attacked an officer in an anti-encroachment drive using a cricket bat. The video became viral on social media. Kailash Vijayvargiya had defended his son’s act and Akash was released from jail which was celebrated. PM Modi was deeply disturbed by this and he condemned Akash’s act. PM Modi directed that people who inflicted violence were to be removed from their positions in the party regardless of whose son or relative they were. This move is highly appreciated as it upholds the values of the Constitution which directs that all citizens are equal before the law.
