Security in Amarnath Yatra improved with bar code slips for pilgrims
As 1671 pilgrims take the strenuous Amarnath Yatra beginning in Baltal Base Camp, Jammu and Kashmir, measures have been taken to ensure safety. A new feature has been introduced where the pilgrims are given slips that have a bar code on them which will be scanned at regular intervals to keep tracks of the number of pilgrims. Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Satya Pal Malik thanked the Muslims in the areas who cooperate for the smooth functioning of the Yatra every year. The pilgrims are being taken in batches with the support of the Police and Army troops.
