Signs of peace in Delhi’s Hauz Qazi after temple vandalism
The Hauz Qazi area of Delhi had experienced a communal clash due to temple vandalism a few days ago following which the atmosphere was tense. A Shobha Yatra was organized in the locality to reinstate peace. The act of vandalism was condemned by Hindus and Muslims alike. Many Muslims were seen aiding the Shobha Yatra participants by providing food and joining in the music. The vandalized statues were replaced and the residents who have been in harmony all these years are returning to their normal states. Years of religious peace and harmony are so easily disrupted by minute scuffles. Areas like Haus Qazi are examples of the secular India that one dreams of and it is important to settle disputes without involving religion in it.
