Two ministers join Kumaraswamy’s Cabinet
Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy inducted two Independent candidates to his Cabinet on Friday. The Congress JDS coalition has been on shaky ground since the Lok Sabha election results were out. The two new MLA’s have been inducted in the Cabinet in order to show that the government has been functioning and that there are no discrepancies. The attempt is to prevent BJP from swinging Independent candidates to join its side. However, this may not be the solution to tone down internal conflicts as the Independent candidates were chosen over several Congress members who were keen on getting a ministerial seat.
