Union Cabinet Approves Free Health Insurance Under Ayushman Bharat For All Senior Citizens Above 70 Years Of Age Irrespective Of Income

The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday approved universal health coverage for all senior citizens above 70 years of age irrespective of income. The senior citizens will get the facility of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh under the flagship scheme Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).
