Water Crisis Leads to Risks in Steel Industries JSW and Tata Steel
Delayed Rainfall has led to water crisis that has made a delay of 70% of the annual rainfall in India. Water crisis is slowly landing into a serious economic crisis, according to Damandeep Singh director of CDP said that “The problem is that when companies in India get water, they get it cheap. There’s no incentive to manage a resource when it is available so cheap.”
India has the second biggest steel mill JSW has constructed a reservoir for storage and non-stop supply to water and Tata on the other hand is in the process of reusing sewer and rainwater after recycling.
