Why Caste Census Now?
For years, the Opposition has been screaming for a caste census, claiming it as the holy grail of social justice. The BJP? It mostly dodged the topic until now. With one statement, PM Modi’s government snatched the narrative out of their hands and stamped it with saffron. Caste Census is more than a headline. This is about data, decisions, and domination. The last time India saw a caste-based count was way back in 1931 before Instagram, Google, or even Independence.
