Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) district executive committee member Praveen Nettaru was hacked to death by unknown motorcycle-borne assailants last night in Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka.
Tension gripped the town as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) called for a bandh in Sullia, Kadaba and Puttur taluks to condemn the killing. Shop owners downed shutters on Wednesday in response.
