India Proceeds To Universal Internet Access Half Of Household By 2022 In Rural Areas
On the summit of India, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai said that in order to meet the target attempts will be taken to position two millions of WI-FI hotspots in rural areas including the redesigning, expanding of Universal Service obligation fund for internet access.
Few parts of India belonging to the rural parts still are not capable for building broadband networks. Assam, Uttarakhand and Karnataka are the rural areas lacking the WiFi internet access. FCC’s Universal Service Fund provides federal subsidies in order to uplift additional investment.
