Invite Dalits With Open Arms To Our Temples And Festivals…
Dalits are Hindus too – they have equal right as any Hindu to visit any temple, to perform any ritual or take part in any religious festival. There were recent reports that during the five-day annual temple festival, the Dalits were denied entry into the temple. If we treat them badly Dalits could convert their religion or be pressured by outsiders into conversion. After his incident, there were reports that the Tamil Nadu Towheed Jamaat (TNTJ) distributed copies of the Quran to some of these Dalits, and also Christian missionaries approached them to try to convert them.
