Is Sonu Nigam Or Anyone Else Not Allowed To Talk About Azaan?
Sonu Nigam is NOT against Azaan. He is only questioning the loudspeakers used for early morning Azaan. His tweet says “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India.” Can we all be less worked up and emotional and focus only on the issue of whether loudspeakers should be employed each morning to awaken the general population? It is possible these issues have not been raised before. In several western countries one does not hear Azaan from loudspeakers due to restrictions on loud noises. Is there a lesson for India to follow?
