JNU CASE: COURT’S OBSERVATION SHOULD GIVE MAKE PROTESTERS TO RETHINK?
Delhi High Court judge in the JNU student union president petition noted that the claim of “fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression is some kind of infection from which such students are suffering which needs to be controlled/cured before it becomes an epidemic.” Further, the judge noted that we are enjoying this freedom only because our army and paramilitary are guarding our borders in one of the most difficult terrains in the world from Siachen Glacier to the Rann of Kutch. Such person who enjoy the freedom to raise such slogans on university campuses and shout anti-national slogans, will not be able to withstand Siachen for even one hour where oxygen is scarse.”
