KERALA IUML: WHY THE RELUCTANCE TO LIGHT THE CEREMONIAL LAMP?

The differences within the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) over lighting the ceremonial lamp at public functions has come to the fore, with senior leaders expressing divergent views on it. Though this has been followed as convention and widely practiced in Kerala, now vested interests are raking up this issue with a hidden agenda and we would not like to fall into their designs.
