Bihar, again in the news for wrong reasons, will levy luxury tax of 13.5% on samosas, Kachauris, some Namkin and Sweets purchased over Rs. 500. What is unbelievable is how come Samosa, Sweets and Kachauris are luxury item in Bihar but are basic food items everywhere else?
