US TARGETING INDIA: ALREADY HIGH VISA FEES TO DOUBLE
In a protectionist move, USA has doubled already high H1B visa fees from $2,000 to $4,000 and L-1 Visa fees will now be $4,500. NASSCOM, the Indian IT industry association , said Indian IT companies have paid between USD 70 to USD 80 million annually for the US Treasury approximately. The new punitive measure is expected to raise an additional SD 1.4 billion and USD 1.6 billion each year for the next one decade. Indian companies and their clients are directly and indirectly paying for these new fees.
